NINCOMPOOP RECOMMISSIONED

[Special to th* ' Star.'] CHRISTCHURCH, May 8. J. Boyd has recommissioned Nincompoop after a few weeks’ spell, and the gelding shows the benefit of his brief respite from a protracted term of solid racing. Ho was tried over a couple of small hurdles yesterday, and jumped exceptionally well, and is to be given a schooling over pony fences at Riccarton. If Nincompoop takes kindly to the game he will make a great proposition as a hurdler, as he has pace and can handle any going.
