April .'id, Auckland ... 13,922 10,087 Wellington ... 15,077 .10,751 Christchurch 7,899 5,877 Dunedin ... 2.331 1,868 On March 31, 1,727 dealers’ licenses were in force, and the number applied for and recorded in head office on April 30 was only 829. This deficiency is not likely to he wholly caught up, as many of the smaller dealers have gone out of business.
