Frederick Victor Stratford,, aged twenty-nine., who was sentenced in London recently to twenty-one months’ imprisonment for thefts from motor cars, was said to have worn a chauffeur’s uniform, so that he could loiter near cars without exciting suspicion. London’s new telephone exchanges are receiving some very pleasant-sound-ing names, such as Silvertliorn, Valentine, Ingrehourne, Hillside, and Empire.
