(Received April 28, at 8.45 a.m.) It is possible that a fresh danger may arise out of tho demoralised state of tho Northern troops. Tho majority of tho missionaries havo evacuated to Tsingtao. A most significant report comes from the battlefront that Chang Chungchang, the Military Governor of Shantung, commanding tho defeated Northern forces, has sent his family to Tsingtao, and has deposited 7,000,000 dollars in foreign banks in preparation for flight. One million Shantung residents are reported to bo dying from starvation.— Australian Press Association,
