Lord Tcrrington arrived at Folkestone from Boulogne, and walked briskly to a reserved compartment on the London train, accompanied by a doctor and two Scotland Yard detectives. The journey from Douai was accomplished in easy stages, with an interval for lunch of trout and champagne. There were two stops when Lord Tcrrington complained of _ heart attacks.—Australian Press Association. AT VICTORIA STATION. LONDON, April 21. A huge crowd awaited Lord Terrington at Victoria Station, but a police ruse was successful. lie alighted at the end of the train, and was motored to Moorlano police station, to which an infirmary is attached.—Australian Press Association. APPEARANCE IN COURT. LONDON April 21. Lord Tcrrington appeared at the Mansion House Police Court on twentyone charges of fraudulent conversion, involving £70,000, while acting as a solicitor. Lord Tcrrington was looking well, and entered the court accompanied by Lady Tcrrington, a doctor, and a nurse. After questions regarding his extradition from France, he was remanded till April 30. Bail was refused, despite counsel’s assertion that his health was precarious. [A message received on June 13, 192 G, stated: Proof of debts amounting ter close on £500,000, including £213,000 entered by one creditor,_ was proved against Lord Tcrrington in tho Bankruptcy Court. A doctor’s certificate stated that Lord Tcrrington was at Monto Carlo, and unfit to travel. The slightest effort, mental or physical, would probably he fatal. Tho official receiver commented on fiord Tcrrington being not sufficiently ill to leave England, yet being too ill to return there, though grave matters were awaiting an explanation. Tho • debtor claims that he is perfectly solvent, subject to the realisation of his assets. Ho attributed his failure to repay the loans to clients to tho excessive interest charged by money-lenders, to ill-health, to the coal and general strikes. The creditors include the names of famous families.]
