HARRIERS

LEITH. Tlie Leith Harriers held their weekly rim from the St. Clair'Baths. A number of juniors were absent owing to a military parade, but there was a good attendance. Conditions were not very pleasant for running, there being a very cold wind. Paper was dispensed with, and the pack ran along St. Clair Beach to Lawyer’s Head. From there a short cut was taken to Last Park. A very fast run home was then held from the Si. Kildn. terminus, King, Ward, and Parker being the. first three home. ST. PATRICK'S. St. Patrick’s held a paper chase from St. Joseph’s .Hall, paper being dispensed by R. Baughcn and L. Carroll. The trail led by a circuitous route round the Town Belt and down into Kaikorai Valley, continuing on over rough country i.o Wakari School. The, homeward run led past the Balmacewen golf links, and round on to Queen’s drive, continuing on to Battray street and homo. Tin; trail was lost several times, and at one point was completely missed. In the final run home Montague ran in first, closely followed by B. Bauglieu and Berry in that order. Prior to the run a meeting was held, and an unexpected vacancy on the committee was tilled by ilic election of F. Allen. CARGILL ROAD. Cargill Road Methodists held their run from the Woodhaugh Church. Considering the weather conditions, [here was a good attendance of members. and the pack, under Captain R. Graves and Deputy-captain B. Pearce, ran up Duke street, round behind the Reservoir, until eventually Bunting’s .store was readied. From there the pack ran down to the car terminus, along Oban street to Highgate, where a fast pace was maintained. The pack was then split up, and a good run home resulted in R. Barclay. W. Grey, and L. It- Thomsen, were responsible lor an excellent trail from the baths, round Second Beach, skirting the hills to the Caves, thence to Burnside, round Lookout Point to Cavcrshain terminus, along South road, round Forlmry Corner, along forhiiry road to baths. Many new members were prominent in the mn homo.

DUNEDIN. Dunedin ran from St. Clair Baths,* good muster following the whistle. The course lay from St. Clair to Tomahawk via Lover’s Lane and back via Victoria road. ABBOTSFORD METHODISTS. Abbotsford Methodists ran from Mr Bennett’s residence, Green Island, the paper being in the hands of G. Finchain and E. Woodsey. The trail led to Scotland terrace, across the paddocks, past the golf links, to Cargill’s Castle, down to Forbury road, through Davis street, up the Caversham Valley road to the old tunnel, through the old tunnel, past the cement works, and home by the Main South road. R. Knox, L. Martin, and D. Fincham were first home. NORTHERN. Northern ran from Mornington School under fair weather conditions. The hares, G. Armishaw and L. A. Henderson, laid the trail down into the Kaikorai Valley, across country to the southern reservoir, round Silverstream, and then through Abbotsford on to the Alain road again. The pack, numbering sixteen, and under the whistles of Captain J. Dunn and R. L. Knowles, maintained a fair pace throughout. A fast run home resulted iu the slow pack arriving first, the members finishing iu the following order;—B. Young, Turner, N. D. Henderson, with the fast pack not far behind.
