BENEFIT BAND CONCERT.

TO THE. KDITOK. Sir,—A benefit band concert is to be given' to Mr Thurston, of North-east Valiev, on Thursday next, at 7-45 p.m. Five bands will take part, and a most enjoyable programme is being arranged. I ieel sure that the public will bo most generous in their to our appeal. Those nimble to lie present'and who would like to help can send in their donations to Mr E. Hartmann, care of tho Bank of Australasia, Rattray street. Mr Thurston has been .suffering from a distressing illness during the past eight months, and is not likely to bo well enough to resume work for somo timo.—l am, etc.. K. D. Axdkews-Baxtkr. April 21.
