ARRIVED.—ApriI JB. Kin Ora, s.s. (2,15 ji.niA. 8,031 tons, V. Kenworthy. from Glasgow and Liverpool via Panama and northern ports. KIA ORA IN' PORT. With general cargo Irom West Coast ports of Great Britain the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s steamer Km Ora arrived this afternoon via northern ports, and was berthed at tho Rattray street wharf to complete discharge._ The vessel sailed finally from Liverpool on February 18, and experienced fine weather during the first two days from port. Afterwards she was beset for a week by a succession of heavy westerly gales and high mountainous seas, which caused her to labour heavily and to ship water fore and aft. When the storm was at its worst the vessel had to be hovc-to for six hours. After the Kia Ora passed the Azores the conditions improved, and generally fair weather prevailed during the remainder of the voyage. Oiiptjnn V, Kcmvorthy is in coni* man, and he has associated with him tho following officers: —Chief, Mr A. Black; -second, Mr E. A. Huckun; third. Mr J. M. Brown; chief engineer, Air F. Harvey; second. Air W. Mathews: third, Mr A. E. English; fourth, Air G. Pape: fifth, Air J. Cunningham; sixth, Mr G. Fraser; seventh, Air G. Buchenoiigh; chief refrigerating engineer, Air 1). Findlay; second, Mr G. W. Jones; wireless operator, Air H. B. Watson; chief steward, Air W. P. Smith. After discharge here the Kia Ora will proceed to Port Chalmers to commence loading for the Homeward trip. She is to leave Port Chalmers on Monday to continue loading operations at Oainarn, Timaru, Wanganui, and Wellington, sailing finally from the last-named port on Afay 5 for London via the Cape Horn route.
