QUARTERLY CIRCUIT MEETING TRINITY. The quarterly meeting of the Trinity Methodist Church was held on Monday evening and presided over by the Rev. H. E. Bellhouse. The balance-sheet, which show’ed a credit balance for the quarter, was adopted. Church membership returns were the same as last quarter. Owing to removals from the district Trinity and North-east Valley Sunday schools reported that there was a small decrease in the number of scholars, but Woodhaugh showed an increase of ten. The latter school was urgently in need of teachers. Trinity Sunday school has raised a further sum of £l2B 2s Id towards the erection of a new school building, and in connection with this an anonymous gift of £l5O has been offered, providing a further amount of £OSO should bo raised in cash or promises of money by June 30,

Home Missions Sunday will be observed on .Tune 3, when the Rev. John Harris will be the deputation, and special offerings will bo solicited from each church in the circuit. Woodhaugh will celebrate its Sunday school anniversary during the quarter. Special offerings were authorised in behalf of the young people’s department, and also for the Now Zealand liihlc in Schools League. _A lady member of Trinity Church has presented for church purposes two £IOO (£200) Government War Ronds, with interest coupons attached. The gift was gratefully appreciated, and the giver was sincerely thanked for her generosity. It was decided that a special church meeting should be held to consider the best methods of promoting the work oi God during the ensuing year. .V!r Harold Wilson has consented, and was appointed, to act as snpcrintemlen; of 'Jiinity Rand of Hope in place of Mr Mason, who resigned after many years’ valuable work. DUNDAS STREET. 'flic Dundas Street Methodist Circuit quarterly meeting was hold at Karens bourne on Monday evening, when the Rev. W. H. Hocking presided ore, a good attendance of officials. Mrs'Jliornicroft and Messrs H. Horsburgu and S. G. MacFarlane, M.A.. were welcomed ns new members. Arrangements were made for holding the annual homo mission set vice during the current quarter, when the Revs. John Harris, of Oamaru. and A. M Oostain, of Roxburgh, will virit ihc circuit in the interests of the Homo mission department. Mrs \\.
