ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
INJURED IX MOTOR !UMdSIOX. As the result of a motor collision late yesterday atternoon on the top of a hill at the head of a road between Matamau and Ormomlvillo .Horace Mailers, aged twenty-three, single, whoso parents reside in Auckland, is now an inmate of the Dannevirke Hospital, his condition being critical. A small threescaler ear driven by Herb Hally, managaing salesman, ol Auckland, who had w'p> Tiim three other 'cuing men, was approaching Dannevirke, when a headon collision occurred with a car driven by Hay P.urton, motor salesman, of Palmerston Xorth. Walters, who was in the front scat with Hally, was not thrown out. but received the full force of the impact, aml_ was seriously injured internally. Xono of the others were hurt. Walters was operated on during the night.—Press Association telegram.
