(Received April 18, at 9.15 a.m.) Mr Bruco (Australian Prime Minister) has cabled accepting Lord Kylsant’s tender. His firm will take over tho ships as they arrive, beginning with the Larg’s Bay on April 25,—Australian Press Association. THE THREATENED BOYCOTT. GOVERNMENT NOT ALARMED. SYDNEY, April 18. (Received April 18, at 11.45 a.m.) Mr Bruce states that his Government is not perturbed by the threat of tho seamen or tho marine transport group to boycott tho Commonwealth vessels when they are sold. He adds that tho new owners would be obliged to undertake and maintain equivalent services to those provided hy tbo Commonwealth Line.
[A. previous message stated: “It is reported that Lord Kyslant acquired the Commonwealth Line for £1,900,000, of which £25,000 was in cash, the balance to be paid in instalments. Australian messages stated that Mr Bruce refused to affirm or to deny ibis statement. Lord Kylsant is chairman and managing director of the Mail Steam Packet Company, the Union Castle Line, and their associated shipping compan ics. ]
