CHINESE PIRATES
SHIP TAKEN TO BIAS BAY Pjksa Association— By Telegraph—Copyright. HONGKONG, April 17. Another outrage has been committed by the notorious Bias Bay pirates, who boarded the Chinese steamer Hismvah, hound from Shanghai to Hongkong. They staged a coup at sea and gained control of the vessel, taking her to Bias Bay. Captain Jensen, Chief Officer Licess, and others were taken ashore while the valuable cargo was unloaded. Later a Chines© gunboat appeared, and the pirates made off, taking the booty with them. Five passengers were also taken as captives. Captain Jensen signalled to the gunboat, and a pursuit party landed, but was unable-to overtake the pirates, who gamed the security of the bills.—United Service.
