BOARD OF ADMIRALTY MEETS CASES UNDER CONSIDERATION Frest Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, LONDON, April 16. (Received April 17, at 11 a.m.) The Board of Admiralty met at,the Admiralty to-day to consider the Royal Oak Cases. It is' understood that in addition to tlio official reports of the court-martial held at Gibraltar the board had before it the considered opinion of tho Judge Advocate of Fleet (Mr Pitman), who has been examining the reports. Among those present at to-day's meeting were Mr W. C. Bridgeman (First Lord of the Admiralty), the four Sea Lords, Rear-admiral Fisher (deputy chief of the naval staff), and Sir Oswyn Murray (Permanent Secretary to the Admiralty). It is expected that Mr Bridgeman will make a I'ull statement in tho House of Commons to-morrow. The Board of Admiralty has power to alter or quash the sentences passed on Captain Dewar and Commander Daniel, who were severely reprimanded and ordered to be dismissed iiom their ■ships. The board meeds only on occasions of extreme importance.
