INDUSTRIAL CONFERENCE
RESUMPTION TO-MORROW [Sfecial to the ‘ Star,’] WELLINGTON, April 17. The Industrial Conference, which will resume on Wednesday morning, will hear papers on the Arbitration Act from Afr Bishop (on behalf of the Employers’ Federation), Air Turner (w)io will put the business men’s attitude on behalf of the Associated Chambers of Commerce), and Mr Roberts (who presents organised Labour’s view). Finally Professor Williams, the economist, of the Massey Agricultural College, will read a. paper on the Arbitration Act and price dislocations. Discussions will follow on each paper, and the conference will probably last for two days/ after which committees will sit.
A large quantity of informative matter has been printed, the records now available to the delegates filling nearly 200 pages.
