KING'S CUP TO LIMERICK Frees Association— By Telegraph—Copyright, SYDNEY, April 14. The autumn racing carnival concluded at Randwick on Saturday in showery weather. The attendance was 45,000. The track was in goqd order, and excitin.r finishes were the order of the day, two races resulting in dead heats. Limerick won Hie King’s Cup brilliantly. He was second last at the halfmile ami, moving swiftly at the turn, he joined issue with the leaders, and prevailed by a short head. The champion’s victory was a worthy finale to his notable succeesses during the meeting The crowd broke out in a tumult of applause when he was returning to scale. Results; —
Rous Handicap, a sweepstake of lOsovs each, with l.OOOsovs added, n. —First division; Royal Tune (9.1) 1, Enorgique (7.7) 2, Preposteror (10.3) 3, Fifteen started. Kapuya led the field to the turn from Quince and Royal Tune. The latter took charge at the distance, and gained the verdict by a length Time, Imin 25Jsec Second division : Karuma (i .9) 1, Reonui (10..?) 2, Boaster (U-I) 3. Twelve started. Singledale was the early pacemaker from Karuma, Maltfern. Sir Allen, and Reonui. Karuma took command at the distance, and won comfortably by three lengths. Time. Jmin 24j[sec. The Danger Handicap, a sweepstake of Ssovs each, with l,ooosovs added. l; m —Mountain Prince (7,10) 1, Rionsoup (8.13) 2, Vallino (8.4) 3. Fifteen started. Drawbridge was in charge out of the straight from Spaghetti, Black Duchess, and Dion. Along the back of the course Spaghetti had charge from Black Duchess. Attractive, and Drawbridge. Turning for home Spaghetti .showed the way to Mountain Prince and Riouscup. 'Mountain Prince came fast at the distance, and won by two lengths. Time, 2min 3Usec. Second Steeplechase, n sweepstakes of 2sovs each with 750sovs added. About 3„i.—Eastern Scott (9.3) 1, Gunliko (9.0) 2, Gay Gordon (9.0) 3. _ Six started. Mendit and Prince Arim led at the first jump, hut passing the stand the first time Mendit and Prince Arim both fell. Along the back of the course Goblin also fell. The winner thereafter was not troubled,'and won by three-quarters of a furlong. Time, 6min 42|sec.

Limerick^ was last along the hack of the course, Valparaiso being two lengths clear of Simeon’s Fort, Tangible, and _ Winnlot. Moving fast,' Limerick ran into third position turning for home, and at the distance was on equal terms with Valparaiso and Winnlot. In a desperate struggle ( Limerick prevailed hy a head. Fernhill Handicap (for two-year-olds), a sweepstakes of 6sovs each, with l,(inosovs added. 7f.—Yodolist (7.3) and Balmerino (8.5), dead lieat, 1; Star Warden (8.6), 3 Seventeen started. Star Warden began smartly from Panola, Stanza, and fiob’s March, and led into the straight ahead March. Panola, and Jcvporo. _ Finishing fast, Yodolist and Balmerino challenged Star Warden, and running evenly they gained the verdict by a leimtii. Time, Imin 26soc. Maggie Mint fell.'
Final Handicap, a sweepstakes, Ssovs each, and l.OOO.sovs added. IJm. — Snearor (9.2) and Lovebox (7.2), dead boat, 1; Boonala (7.9) 3. Fifteen started. Boonala, Kitty Paddington. Justify, and Honan led the field to the straight. Lovebox assumed control at tho distance from Boonala. Spearer, coming fast, joined Lovebox, and made a dead heat of it. Time, 2min 6seo.
