Bay Lodge held its fortnightly meeting on Tuesday night in the town Hall, St. Kilda, Bro. E. Bartlett acting as Arch Druid in the absence or Bro. Childs. Visitors present were Bros. Churchill, Alexander, Bond, Johns, May bee, Workman, and Peacock. Lengthy correspondence being dealt with and sick pay passed for payment, the lodge then entertained Progress Juvenile Lodge, which, forty strong, • was under the guidance of Superintendent Bro. Hunt. The hoys competed in competitions of a. varied nature, and a word of praise is due to Bros. W. Workman and Berry for the able manner in which they handled them. On the hoys leaving for home the lodge was resumed, and several committee reports were received. The lodge decided to visit Linden Lodge at the next meeting and also to entertain Mistletoe Lodge at cards for the euchre shield. Bro. G. Wilson was elected a delegate to the Dispensary Committee. During the month the lodge conducted a three-charge championship competition, when eight brethren faced the nidges (Bro. W. Harvey, P.D.P., ami Bro. D. Reid, P.D.P.). After keen competition the winner proved to bo Bro. W. Workman, with Bro. A. Cormack second. On Easter Monday Bay Lodge played Enterprise Lodge at a game of cricket, the match being played on the Cavcrsham School ground before a large number of spectators. Both teams were keen to win, and some good cricket was sliown. the principal scorers being: For Enterprise Lodge—Bros. M'Donald, Rankin, Rees, and Cunningham; for Bay Lodge —Bros. Day Johns, Wilson, and Kerr. The howling honors were shared by Bros. Rees and Cunningham for Enterprise and Bros. Wilson and Day for Bay; while Bro. Huston made some excellent catches. Enterprise Lodge won by 12 rims, and it is hoped that the fixture will ho an annual one. The fortnightly meeting of Linden Lodge was held on Tuesday, A.D. Bro. Reynolds being in the chair. The R.A.C. officers wore present to work the lodge, and opened it in due form. 'After the usual lodge business had been disposed of one candidate was initiated with the customary ceremony. Suitable arrangements were made for anniversary night and the installation of the D.P. of No. 1 District. Members expressed themselves satisfied with the personnel of the team picked for the Ross-Stowart Shield competition, and it was arranged for the team to meet every lodge night at 7 _ o’clock for practice. A visit to the installation of the D.P. of No. 2 District was arranged, and the secretary was instructed to issue a challenge to Lily of tho yalley Lodge for the euchre shield. On Wednesday Ivnnlioo Lodge held its fortnightly meeting, A.D. Bro. Reeves presiding over a good attendance of members. Tho lodge opened at 7 p.m. for the purpose of entertaining the juveniles. Olive Branch Lodge attended officially, and competitions of an interesting character were provided for tho boys. The A.D. presented prizes to the winners as follows; —Shooting: Under thirteen years, Bro. J. Day; fourteen years and over, Bro. A. Thomson. Quoits: Under thirteen years, Bro. W. Saunders; fourteen years and over, Bro. .1. Still. During the evening several brethren contributed items. The lodge opened for business at 9 ,p.m., a large amount of correspondence being dealt with and two candidates being initiated into the order. It was decided to visit Linden Lodge on Tuesday next, when the installation of Bro. R. W. Rusbridgo will take place as D.P. of No. 1 District. Bro. Eager (Otago) and Bro. Robertson (Lily of the Valley) replied to the oast of “The Visitors.” Lily of the Valley Lodge held its meeting on Wednesday night in the Millar Street Hall, North-east Valley. There was a large attendance, including the officers of the R.A. Chapter, who were present to conduct tho business of tho lodge. Inyitations were accepted from Linden Lodge and Mistletoe Lodge, each visit to he an official one. It was decided to entertain Olivo Branch Lodge at the next meeting and to play Linden Lodge for the euchre shield on May 9, when West Harbor Lodge will also bo present. The next meeting falls on Anzac Day. and it was decided to open only for a short session. Olive Branch Lodge held its meeting on Thursday night in tho George Street School Hall. There was a very large number of members and visitors present, including G.T. Bro. Birt, who attended for the purpose of installing the new officers. Two candidates were initiated and one accepted on transfer from Progress Lodge. After the business had been completed the lodge was closed to allow Lily of the Valley Lodge to entertain the boys. Supper was dispensed and three competitions were held, for which prizes were given. The superintendent announced that a shooting match would be held between the three juvenile lodges on June 7, and would be held in Olive Branch Lodge. P.A. Bro. Sinclair, of Ivanhoe Lodge, was installed as the secretary in place of Bro. A. Watson, who had resigned. The meeting of Myrtle Lodge was held on Tuesday night, Bro. Sinclair

presiding over a good attendance of members. Arrangements were made in connection with forthcoming shooting and boxing competitions, and G.T. Bro. Birt, assisted bv G.G. Bro. Thompson, installed the following officers:—J.P.A., Bro. Grecnall; A.D., Bro. S. Cameron; V.A., Bro. A. Birt; conductor, Bro. H. Hook; secretary, Bro. C. Tait: treasurer, Bro. Sinclair: minute secretary, Bro. Martin; 1.G., Bro. Douglas; 0.G., Bro. Jack; A.D. bards, Bros. S. Douglas and C. Brown; V.A. bards, Bros. S. Cooper and M. Greenall. The toasts were replied to by G.T. Bro. Birt. G.G. Bro. Thompson, and Bro. Gray (Invercargill). At the close of the meeting a shooting competition was held. Pride of Mornington Lodge meeting was presided over by A.D. Bro. C. Tait, a goodly number of members and visitors attending. A favorable report on sick members was given by the bards, and one candidate was initiated in due form, another name being proposed for next lodge night. P.D.P. Bro. Reid and D.P.-clect Bro. F. Johns judged the championship competition, the winner on this occasion being Bro. A. E. Jellcy. Bro. H. Napier very kindly presented the prize, and is to be thanked for his kind oiler. Invitations to Linden and Mistletoe Lodges were accepted, and the Social Committee was instructed to make arrangements for entertaining past officers on May 10.
