PROMOTIONS ANNOUNCED Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, April 13. Sir Frederick Field has been promoted to admiral, and takes over the command of the Mediterranean Fleet. Rear-admiral Hall Thomson has been promoted to vice-admiral, and Captain Gordon Campbell V.C. ; has been promoted to rearmdnural.—Australian Press Association. CAPTAIN SULIYAN RETIRES. LONDON, April 13. (Received April 14, at 1.30 a.m.) Rear-admirals Sir Edmund Fremantle and Henry Campbell have been placed on the retired list. Captain Sulivan, of the Renown, has been promoted to rear-admiral and placed on the retired list.—Australian Press Association.
