SYDNEY EXPEDITION. The steamer Naianbar has' been chartered from the North Coast Steam Navigation- Company for three months by a Sydney syndicate, which will endeavor to reclaim the silver ore and zinc slabs from the sunken Norwegian steamer Yarra, in Gizo Harbor. Solomon Islands (says the Sydney ‘ Morning Herald’)■ The Maianbar was to have lett Sydney at the week-end with the salvage party and gear for Gizo. The Yarra, which was destroyed by fire, is lying in 20ft of water forward and 35ft aft. A member of the syndicate said that plans had been made to effect a complete salvage of the 1,500 tons of zinc slabs, and from 00U to 1,000 tons of silver ore. If possible, these consignments would be shipped direct to a Continental port; otherwise they would be brought to Sydney by a Bums, Philip steamer, for transhipment.
