Kanna. s.s. (0.50 p.m.), 1,048 tons, Macdonald, tor Auckland via ports. Kurow, s.s. (10.30 p.m.), 2,625 tons, Watson, for Bluff. The Kanna sailed last night torOamaru, Picton, and Auckland,. The Storm got away last evening for Wanganui via ports. The Kurow sailed last night for Bluli. She will return here on Tuesday to load for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. The Opihi arrived this morning from Port Craig, and is timed to sail at 6 o’clock to-night for Timaru, Wellington. and Westport. The Calm is now duo on Tuesday from Bluli to load and sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The Kaitnna is to sail to-morrow to complete discharge of her coal at Oamaru. THE FERRY SERVICE. The .Maori, Ironi Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at quarter to 7,this morning. 'and passengers and mails connected with the first express. NEW’ MOTOiTsHIP ZEALANDIC. The Shaw, Savdl, and Albion Company’s new motor ship Zcalandic. which is m route from Newcastle-on-Tyne to Bluff, is coming out in ballast to New Zealand to load for England. The vessel will complete loading at Auckland, and she is scheduled to sail irom there for London on May 26. PERSONAL. Mr JO. M. Anderson is chief officer of the Aorangi, which lelt Auckland on Wednesday for Vancouver, relieving Mr R. Scott,'who remained in Sydney on holiday leave. Mr H. Kime has rejoined the vessel, mi cl hns replaced Mr Anderson as second officer. SUCCESSFUL TRIALS. Tin l new steamer Nicnw Zeeland, built in Holland for ibo Royal Packet Navigation Co. (K.P.M. Line) is reported to have been most snccesslnl on her official trials. She is a twin-screw vessel of 11,000 ions, burning oil fuel. The steamer will leave Rotterdam on April 17, making her initial trip from Bela wan Deli (Sumatra) on June H. arriving at Sydney on July 6. She will leave Sydney again on July 2J for the East. PORT ALBANY UNLOADING. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Albany arrived this morning from northern ports with general cargo lor discharge here trom New York. The steamer berthed at the Victoria wharf to unload. Siio left New York on February 2a, calling at Newport News two days later for bunkers. She arrived at Colon on March 13. leaving Balboa the next day. The trip was uneventful throughout. Captain B. Needham is in command, and has with him the lollowing officers;—Chief officer, Mr E. A. Leavett; second. Mr S. Hearnc; third, Mr G. W. Horton; fourth, Mr N. J. Dedman; chief wireless operator, Air G. E. Hudson; second, Mr E. F. W’cnihorliead; chief engineer. Mr W. J. Barrett; second, Air A. Williams; third Air A. E. Smurtliwaite: fourth, Air F. AVashington; fifth, Air J. S. K. sixth. Air C. A. Uallgren; chief refrigerating engineer. Air AA'. E. Dibbs; second. Air J. B. Arthur. The Port Alhnnv is to sail at noon to-morrow for AVellington and New Plymouth to load lor London. She will complete at Australian ports. YOSERIC WITH JARRAH. Formerly the W’ar Parrot, the Andrew Weir steamer Yoseric arrived this morning from Australian ports via north New 7 Zealand ports. The vessel was berthed at the Rattray street wharf to complete discharge of her cargo of jarrah. Tlio Yoseric loaded at Bns.-Jeton and Binihnry, in all. over 7,000 lons ol limber, and then proceeded to Newcastle fo>- hunkers. She experienced an exceptionally fine wcather_ voyage across the Tasman. The Yoseric is registered

as 5,240 tons gross, and was built in 1918 by Sir J. Laing and Sons, Limited, of Glasgow. She has been in Australian waters for a year now, mostly taking cargoes of phosphates from the various islands to Australia. Last Tuesday the Yoseric docked at Lyttelton, and sailed the following day for Dunedin. Captain S. Leeton is in command of the Yoseric, and associated with him are the following officers;—Chief, Air A. Thomson; second, Mr F. Harmer; third, Mr D. Garden; chief engineer, Mr A. M‘Ard (Mrs M‘Ard is also travelling with her husband); second engineer, Mr E. Levett; third, Mr J. Hodgetts; fourth, Mr E. Clack; wireless operator, Mr P. M‘Keon; apprentices, Messrs E. Bingfield and J. Sleight. Her future movements have not yet been advised. VESSELS IN WIRELESS CALL.
