The death is announced of Mr Stanley John Weyman, aged seventythree. —Australian Press AssociationUnited Service.

[Stanley Wevman, the well-known historical novelist, was educated at Oxford and studied for the bar. Developing a strong gift for fiction, he devoted his energies to novel writing and took a high place among the story writers of the day. His best known books are ‘ A Gentleman of France,' ‘Under the Red Rohe,’ ‘The Man in Black,’ and ‘The Castle Inn.’]

The death is announced of Mr George Chisholm Williams, ex-ray pioneer. He was engaged for thirty years in research work, and this necessitated eight amputations for dermatitis.
