Archer, the Labor Mayor of Chn-t-Ch ThV’following resolution was earned concerning statements that had bee made in reference to Mr J. B°. ber ts ■ J Mr W. Bromley;— That this confe - ence regrets the unfounded statements made against Messrs Roberts and Bromlev to the effect that they had acquiesced in the payment ot 9s a cinj to single men and 12s a day to mairied men by the Government to men working on unemployed reliet work. This conference further expresses i s complete confidence in Mr Roberts and in Mr Bromley, and it thanks them for the services they have rendenn o the New Zealand Labor movement.
