MIGRATION TO AUSTRALIA

(Received February 10, at 11 a.m.) The net gain in migration to Australia in the last year was ‘18,924 persons, according to the figures issued hy the Commonwealth Bureau of Statistics. The excess of arrivals over departures included 38,000 people of British nationality, 1,200 Greeks, (1,500 Italians, 1,000 Jugo-Slavs, and 300 Maltese, inakin" altogether 18 per cent, of the excess in arrivals.
