DRIFTING FINANCES ROYAL COMMISSION TO INVESTIGATE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, January 19. (Received January 19, at 11 a.m.) Alarmed at tho serious drift of the finances of the Railway Department, the Stale Ministry, according to the Premier (Air Hogan), has decided to appoint a Royal Commission to investigate the matter and to make recommendations dasigned to prevent further losses.
