CALCUTTA, January 11. (Received January 12, at 1.5 p.m.) At the tea sale.* a useful selection was offered and all good quality broken teas met with good competition. Leaf teas were firm to dearer. Mediums were easier, declining three to six pies. Dusts were very strong. Average prices:— Common pekoe souchong, 12 annas to 12 annas 6 pies; clean common broken pekoe souchong, 12 annas to 12 annas 3 pies; black leaf pekoe, 14 annas 6 pies to 14 annas 9 pies.
