BUSH FIRES
VICTORIAN OUTBREAK Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, January 11. (Received January 12, at 1 a.m.) Bush fires are raging in the Bendigo and Ballarat districts. In the latter the township of Scarsdale was threatened with extinction, and the women and children were removed to safety. TWO HOUSES BURNED, FIRES STILL RAGING. MELBOURNE, January 12. (Received January 12, at 11.5 a.m.) The bush fire sweeping through the thick bush country at the basni near Bayswater did considerable damage to property. Two houses were burned, it is feared that several others wore gutted. The fire is still raging. A largo iom is ia aflej&iflee.
