Tim only business recorded on ’Change thii morning was one sale of National Insurances at 15s Bd, In the banking section there was still a seller of Bank of New Zcalands at £2 19s 3d, with a buyer at £2 18s 6d. A buyer of E.S. and A. Banks came on the market at £7 11s 6d, but no sellers quoted. All insurance shares were in demand at about yesterday's prices. In the shipping section Burns, Philps and Howard Smiths were wanted at £1 4s 6d and £1 15s respectively, without sellers in either ase, while a seller of Hnddart, Parkers (ord.) asked £2 Bs. A selling oiler, of Kaitangata Coal? at Is 6d discount failed to bring forth any response from buyers. Buyers of British Tobaccos advanced their prices to £1 19s 6d, without attracting sellers. A buyer of New Zealand Breweries offered £2, but sellers would not quit under £2 3s 9d. Mount Lyells were quoted ex dividend this morning, £1 7s 6d being the seller's quote, but no buyers appeared.
