BURMA RELEASES 4,000 Press Association—By Telegraph- CopyrightDELHI, December 18. (Received December 19, at 10 a.m.) The Government of Burma announced that over 4,000 slaves were freed last year in the Kachin country in the North Province, and that £21,000 was paid to owners as compensation.
