ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
An attractive programme of musical and elocutionary items, arranged by Mr R. N. Holmes, was given iu tho George Street School Hall last evening. The items were given by members of the Commercial Travellers’ Choir and leading artists, and were all loudly applauded by tho audience 1 which nod the hall. As a result of the effort the St. John Ambulance funds should benefit considerably. The following was the programme:—Pianoforte solo, ‘ Value Arabesque,’ Miss Kathleen Wheeler, A.T.G.L.; solo (baritone), ‘ Vanity,’ Mr Bert Eomeril; solo ,(soprano), v ‘ You’ve Got Your Mother’s Eyes,’ Miss Florence Fogarty; duet, ‘Come, Sing To Me,’ Miss Agnes Holmes and Maurice Cncliomaille; solo (bass), ‘Bedouin Love Song,’ Mr Jack Clark* solo (soprano), ‘Lately Spring,’ Miss Rita Holmes; violin solo, ‘Ave Maria,’ Mr Fred. Brooks; solo (contralto), ‘A Request,’ Miss Rita Kaffiis; solo (tenor), ‘She’s Far From the Land,’ Mr Dan Fogarty; mouth organ selection, Kaikorai Quartet; solo (soprano), ‘ You Will Never Grow Old,’ Miss Agnes Holmes: solo (baritone), ‘ Still as the Night,’ Mr Maurice Cachemailee; solo (contralto), ‘Sink, Sink, Red Sun,’ Miss Rita Raffils; solo (baritone), ‘Mountains of Mourue,’ Mr Bert Romeril; sole (soprano), ‘My Prayer,’ Miss Florence Fogarty; solo (baritone), ‘Lighterman Tom,’ Mr Fred. Brooks; solo (soprano), ‘A Birthday,’ Miss Rita Holmes; solo (tenor), ‘ Believe Me If All,’ Mr Dan Fogarty; and, humorous item, Mr Allan Dotting.. The accompanists were Misses Kathleen Wheeler' and Rita Holmes.
