BOY FALLS OVER CLIFF
TRAGEDY AT TOMAHAWK' William James Patrick, aged sixteen years, lost his life yesterday morn-' ing through falling over a cliff at Tomahawk. At an inquest hold this morning before Air H. W. Bundle, S.M., the , lad’s father, James Patrick, of Tomahawk, gave evidence to tho effect that his son had left homo at about 11.45 a.m. with tho intention of taking his dog for a run. When the dog returned homo some time later without tho hoy ho and his wife became alarmed, and began to search for him. At about 1 p.m. tho boy was found lying on the rocks at the foot of a cliff 100 ft high. Although ho was badly injured, he was still alive, but died before the arrival of Dr Linden, who had been summoned immediately.
Evidence was given also by Airs Patrick and Pr Lindon. Constable Aleildejohn, of tho Anderson’s Bay police station, pointed out the dangerous nature of tho locality where tho boy met his death. The Coroner returned a verdict that deceased died from shock and injuries caused by his falling over a cliff at Tomahawk.
