The lisl-s of the Commonwealth loan have closed nominally. No announcement has been made, but it is understood that the underwriters arc saddled with a substantial proportion, PRICE OF GOLD. A Christchurch message slates that, the annual report of the directors of Pyne, Gould, Guinness, Ltd. adopted by the shareholders stated that, alter the year’s working and making provision for various contingencies, there was a net balance of £15,665.
