The sum of £IO,OOO is added to the staff benevolent fund and £47.607 curried forward. SYDNEY POTATO MARKET SLUMPS. SYDNEY, November 25. ADELAIDE, November 25. There was spirited bidding at the wool sales, with prices at a 5 per cent, advance on previous ruling rates. .WHEAT, OATS, ETC. LONDON, November 24. Wheat: Cargoes arc quiet, and La Platas easier, while parcels aro in quiet demand, with occasionally a decline of 3d to 52s 9d. Liverpool futures: December, 10s 6Jd; March, 10s 5Jd; May, 10s 3Jd per cental. Spot trade is slow. Flour is firm. Australian, ex store, 3Ss to 395.' Oats arc firm, peas steady, and beans quiet, RUTTER AND CHEESE. LONDON, November 24. Butter is quiet, with colonial a shade easier. Choicest salted: New Zealand, 174 s to 17Gs; exceptionally good, 178 s. Australian, 174 s to 1765; unsalted is scarce. New Zealand, 184 sto 1925. Australian, 184 s to 186 s. Danish reacted to 198 s. LONDON WOOL SALES. LONDON, November 24. At the wool sales 9,181 bales were offered, of which 5;234 were Australian and 3,947 New Zealand. There was a splendid selection of merinos and a good selection of all classes of cross-breds. A keen tone prevails for all descriptions and competition was general, opening rates being fully confirmed. Bradford spinners are finding business slow, but the topraarkers arc firmly maintaining the prices. Quotations; —64’a quality, 52d; 60’s, 474 d; 56’s, 33Jd; 50’s, 29d; 4G’s, 23id; 40’s, 22]d.
