SOUTH ISLAND-AUSTRALIA SHIPPING SERVICE DOMINION REPRESENTATIONS REPORTED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. CANBERRA, November 25, (Received November 26, at 1.30 a.m.) In the Senate Sir George Pearce said, in reply to a question, that Mr Bruce bad not seen' the Press report that a joint committee of the two Houses ol the New Zealand Parliament had recommended negotiations with the Commonwealth Government lor the establishment of a shipping service between the southern ports of New Zealand and Australia.
Sir George Pearce added that any representations made by the New Zealand Government would, of course, be given consideration.
