Tho Ecclesiastical Committee of the two Houses of Parliament having decided, by 21 votes to 5, that the new Prayer Book for the Church of England does not infringe tho constitutional rights of tho King’s subjects, lias now reported to the Legislative Committee of the Church Assembly, and that body will take appropriate steps to see that a measure approving of the new book will be submitted for Royal assent. The dates for debating this resolution have not yet been fixed, but it will probably bo dismissed before the Christmas recess. There is no party opposition to the measure, and members will bo free to exercise their individual discretion.
