[Pm Ukited Peees Association,) CHRISTCHURCH, November 25. At th© annual meeting of the New Zealand Swimming Council the following officers were elected: —President, Air W, E. D. Bishop; deputy-president, Mr F. G. Dunn; North Island representative, Air P. N. Randle; representative on the International Federation, Air J, Hodgson; handicappcr, Air P. Goira; representatives on the New Zealand Olympic Association, Alessrs P. N. Bundle and G. Camp; secretary, Air B. O’Neill. In answer, to a question it was resolved to reply that the centres had no control over school sports. It was reported that the Australian Swimming Union had invited Miss Kathleen Aliller. of Dunedin, to visit Australia to compete in the New South Wales ladies’ championships, and Aliss Aliller had accepted.
In response to a request from the Wanganui Centre as to the legality of the projected West Coast championships. in which it was proposed that the Wanganui. Manawatu, and Taranaki Centres should participate, it wa* decided to inform the centre that the meeting must not be styled a championship meeting.
