SECONDARY-SCHOOL CRICKET

OFAGO V. WAITAKI The annual cricket matches between the first and second elevens of the Otago Boys’ High School and tho Waitaki School was at Carisbrook this morning. Tho wickets were in good order, but a strong south-west wind made conditions very unpleasant. In the senior match_ Otago hatted first, and they were dismissed for tho moderate total of 60. The bowling of Aslin proved disastrous for the local team, the Waitaki lad scouring the fine average of eight wickets for 26 runs. Holden (17) and H, Jolly (11) were the only batsmen'to reach double figures. Evans and Carrington opened for Waitaki, and at the luncheon adjournment had scored 16 without the loss of a wicket.
