THE COLORADO TROUBLE FURTHER SKIRMISHES REPORTED. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, November 22. A inessage from Denver says that, as a result of skirmishes, the dead now number five, with forty injured. National Guardsmen on duty at the Columbine mine wore under the snipers’ fire for three hours to-day, but there were no casualties. The countryside resembles war territory* with tents pitched and a field hospital established. Nineteen outposts are placed around the mine property. The Senate officials are upholding ■the actions of the troopers yesterday in firing on the mob. They said it was the only thing they could do to save their own lives.
