GENERAL ASSEMBLY CONCLUDED
NEXT MEETING AT AUCKLAND I [’eii United Pkess Association.] CHRISTCHURCH. November 21. TJio General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church concluded its sitting )esterday. On behalf of the Standing Committee appointed to draw up a brief statement on The Faith, Professor Dickie said that the committee had done noth-ing,-but was waiting to see what the churches in the old land were doing. When these churches issued a modern statement of Prcsbvtorian beliefs the committee would net. Dr Gibb reported that, the Public Questions Committee Had considered an amendment to the motion proposing that the Assembly approve of the Peace Manifesto, and hud agreed to recommend that the Assembly should accord general approval of the manifesto, and send it down to the- Presbyteries for consideration and report. This was adopted. The next Assembly will meet in 'St. David’s Church, Auckland, on Wednesday, November 21, 1928.
