The Hope of Dunedin Lodge, of the International Order of Good Templars, held its weekly meeting on Wednesday evening last. Bro. S. H. Chapman, G.T., presiding. A telegram was received from the Prime Minister (Hon. J. G. Coates') and a letter from the Leader of the Opposition (Mr. H. E. Holland) in reply to the telegrams sent last week. A vote of condolence was passed .with Bro. Gore and Sister Mrs Anthony in the death of Mr Ant bony. A good report of the official visit to the Rescue Lodge was presented, the Chief Templar stating that 23 members had been present. It is suggested that a cricket team be formed in connection with , the lodge, and Bros. Poole, C. South, Stroud, and Sweet were elected as a committee to deal with this matter." The programme was gift night, ami a number of gifts were sold by Dutch auction, Bro. Williams, P.D.C., acting as auctioneer. After the close of business a number of games were played. What is believed to be the first aerial season ticket lias just been issued by the Royal Dutch Air Lines. It was bought by KTr Deo Hecr, a slarnp dealer, of, Amsterdam, and is available for 25 return journeys between that town and London.
