Their smart little aluminium twoseater was speeding along through the countryside. Through village and hamlet they rushed, ever faster and faster. Sixty miles an hour with the tang of the country air in their faces! Glorious! Presently she turned to the man at the wheel, her face alight with happiness and excitement. “ Darling,” she shouted breathlessly, “ one feels as we speed along that life is really and trully worth living.” “Yes,” he replied, “ and judging from the way the pedestrians dodge ns, they feel that way, too!”
