(Received November 14, at 10.55 a.m.l As the result of slackness in the coal trade many miners have received notice of dismissal. For a long time past the demand, particularly from overseas, for Australian coal has been on tho decrease. It is stated that the frequency of trouble on the coalfields and tho absence of guarantee of regular fulfilment of orylcrs has induced many oversea customers to look elsewhere lor supplies.
