(Received November 11, at 11.35 a.m.) At Lansing, Michigan, Judge Fead declared tb6 House of David cult, which is dominated by the so-called King Benjamin Purnell, a public nuisance on the grounds of immorality. The judge refused to dissolve [he colony because ho lacked the statutory power, but ordered a receivership, which will take care of the claims of the past and present members who declare that they were defrauded of their property and labor by Purnell. An injunction will also be issued restraining Purnell from further association with the women members, except under proper protective conditions. The entire property of the colony is valued at 6,000,000 dollars. Purnell, who is now a chronic invalid, is expected to appeal against the decision.
