Tho Kamo arrived last evening ii'om Auckland via Lyttelton to discharge general cargo. She will go to Fort Chalmers to-morrow morning for survey.

The Wingatui sailed last night ior Auckland via ports. The Comma, from 'Wellington direct, is duo to-morrow morning. Mho will sail the same evening for Nelson and New Plymouth via ports. Thy Waipori was delayed at Blull last night on account of rain ami a shortage of trucks, and was to leave there to-day for Dunedin to discharge a part cargo of coal. Mho is due tomorrow to discharge and load lor Westport. The Holmdalc went to Port Chalmers to undergo survey. Mho is to come up to Dunedin about Monday to load for Wanganui via ports. The Waipiata was to leave Auckland to-day for ’Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The- Knrow is expected to leave Bluff at the end of this week for Dunedin, thence Wellington and Auckland. The Breeze, from Lyttelton, is due to-morrow to load out on Saturday lor Wellington direct. THE POOLTA. The "Union Company reports that the Poolta, at present loading timber at Clarence River, will leave there tomorrow for Port Stevens and Newcastle, to complete loading. She is now expected to clear Newcastle ou November 16 for 'Wellington, Tiraaru, Dunedin, and Grcymonth. NORFOLK RADIOS. ’Wireless advice from the Federal Lino steamer Norfolk states that she expected to arrive at Auckland at daybreak to-day. This vessel is bringing general cargo from Glasgow and Liverpool for discharge at Auckland, Napier, ’Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin.

The Now Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Ruapehu, 'which is completing discharge at Bluff, is also loading there, and will sail at the end of the week to load also at Timaru, Wellington, and Auckland. From Auckland tho ship is to sail on November 23 for Loudon via Panama, omitting tho usual call at Southampton. COAL PRODUCTION. 3n the House of Commons recently the Minister of Mines said that in 1.913 Europe produced 632,000,0(11) tons of coal, and North America 531,000,000 tons, while the total world production was estimated at 1,242,000.000 tons. Tho corresponding figures lor 1926 respectively wore 497,01)0,000 tons, 614,000.000 tons, and 1,220,000,000 tons. AIF these figures include the coal equivalent of lignite. QUEEN ELEANOR REPORTED. Tho New Zealand Shipping Company has received a wireless message from the Queen Eleanor, en route fronr Montreal and Newport Nows, announcing that the vessel expected to arrive at Auckland this morning. Site is due at Dunedin about November 22. SHIPPING RETURNS. Figures compiled by the RegistrarGeneral of Shipping and Seamen shoiv that 35 steamers of 32,688 tons gross were added i o the register of the United Kingdom in Juno, but the registers were closed of 23 steamers of 102,389 ions gross. It will thus be seen that, as far as steamers ami motor vessels are concerned, the removals exceeded the additions by 45,•591 tons gross. It .should bo pointed out that practically the whole ol tho vessels added wore now, while of tho boats sold most were over 20 years of age. WAIKOUAITI FROM SYDNEY,
