MOVING PICTURE HOURS.
TO THE EDITOR. , Sir, —I would like to draw the attention of picture house proprietors, etc., to the conditions of hours as arranged following daylight saving being introduced. For the younger folk these seem to bo in order, but they impose a further tax on the hours of old folk. There are numbers of old people who enjoy a good picture, and who also like to niaiutain reasonable hours of rest. This cannot be followed out if it is necessary to stay till, 10.30 p.m. to see the programme through, and I would not expect to see any difference in attendances at all if the usual hours were followed, thereby eliminating the long wait from the evening meal to the commencement of the programme. At any rate, once tho mind is made up to attend tho pictures I do not believe there are many who consider whether it is dark or twilight when tlmy attend.— I am, etc., SununnAM. November 8.
