Serruys announced that Franco was removing the coal ban forthwith. [The French coal embargo came into operation on June 10. This was a decree that the French Government would admit coni imports only under license. Goal permits wore freely granted for domestic and industrial coal, but coal for tho railways, tho Navy, gas, and electricity was excluded.]
