SUNDAY SCHORL CONCERT

— The St. Hilda Coronal ion Hall was again filled to its capacity last evening, when another juvenile concert w r as given by the South Dunedin Presbyterian Sunday School. All the performers w’ere well received. The programme was a lengthy one, and the children in particular displayed talent of a very high order. As in the _ first entertainment given on Monday night, the stage was brilliantly lighted with colored lamps, while the costumes worn by the performers enhanced the scene. Mr J. Kirby was in the chair. The programme was as follows: —Recitation, ‘ Daddy and I,’ by a small performer, George Perry; song, ‘The Farmyard.’ by the beginners; recitation, ‘The Wish,’ Joan Caddie; Highland fling, Gordon Roicl; song, ‘ Tnples’ Baby,’ Primary I. girls; recitation, ‘Babies’ Burdens,’ six small tots; recitation, ‘His 'Way,’ Clara Jacobs; song, ‘Miss Milligan’s Girls,’ junior girls; song, ‘A Railway Train,’ Primary 11.; ‘The Toy Tin Soldiers on Parade,’ in which a small sentry took the salute; ‘ The Fairy Pipers,’ by girls, Iris Gordon being the leader; ‘Country Dances,’ senior girls; pianoforte solo, Joyce Dyer; song, ‘Grandmother’s Old,’ junior girls; song, Fred. Wedlake; song, ‘The Little Ducli,’ by girls; ‘Hongkong Dream Girl,’ with a background of diminutive children; trio dance. Phyllis Haig, Myra Webster, and Margaret Walker; song, classes 11. and IV.; character song, George Lennon; ‘The Kinky Kids’ Patade,’ Standard V. boys; song, ‘ M.a Curlyheaded Baby,’ first and second class girls; dance, Violet Guana; minute, Physical Club; Irish reel, Miss Doreen Wheeler's pupils; comic boxing turn bv Mr I. Withell, working two dolls; * When the Band Begins to Play,’ Standard V. girls. The various little scenes were exceedingly well presented.
