PRIME MINISTER’S EULOGY
“CREDIT TO HEW ZEALAND” MISS DALE AUSTEH'S HOMECOMING “ A credit to New Zealand.” The Prime Alinister has a high opinion of Dale Austen, Miss Now Zealand for 1927. On the return trip to Dunedin Aliss Austen broke tier stay in Wellington yesterday, when she was entertained at Parliament House by Air Coates and the Speaker (Sir Charles Statham). The Dunedin members of Parliament, Lady Statham, and Aliss Statham were also present when Aliss New Zealand was entertained at afternoon tea. The Prime Alinister declared that the Otago girl was indeed a credit to the dominion, and he wished her every success in her film career. At iss Austen arrived in Dunedin by the first express to-day. She is exceedingly popular in Dunedin, ami the citizens are delighted that the province has again won the honor of tho most beautiful girl in the competition throughout New Zealand. After Cr R. S. Black had welcomed Aliss New Zealand she was driven via Stuart and Princes street to the Grand Hotel, where she was entertained at afternoon tea and later at dinner.
