At tho request of the Minister of Agriculture, tho Fertilisers Jiill, which bad reached the singe of being considered in committee oi the House, was to-day discharged Irani the Order Paper meanwhile, so that it could be referred back to the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee. The Minister explained that since the Bill had been betoro that committee, when evidence was taken from various interests concerned in industry, it had been represented to him that tho merchants who mix manures had not been given a fair chance to put their case. They desired to tender lurthor evidence, and this procedure would give them the opportunity. The House agreed to this course.
