At .the present time certain diseases of grazing animals and difficulties of rearing young stock on natural pastures are being attributed to deficiencies of certain soil constituents, notably lime.
Tobacco smoke from pipes or cigarettes is now stated to have no bad effect on the eyes. Cases of nicotine poisoning affecting the sight arc said to bo cine, in nearly every case, to cigar smoke.
