CUSTOMS REVENUE

SEVEN MONTHS’ FIGURES export excess of eight millions [Per United Truss Association.] WELLINGTON, August 17. The Customs head office reports that for the mouth of July last the imports amounted to £3,249,790, and the exports to £2,930,972, an excess of imports amounting to £318,824. The returns for tho seven months of the year ended July 31, however, show a substantial excess of exports over imports. Tho figures arc for the seven months of 1927 and 1926 respectively:Exports, £33,523,313 (£32,790,952); imports, £25,450,500 (£28.194,183). Total excess of exports, £8,072,813 (£4,715,340).
