sheep prices down. Sheep prices dropped at tho weekly stock .sales at, Burnside to-day, pigs showed an increase, and ea.tt.lc wore roughly about Iho samo us last week. Fat Cattle.—A yarding ot 265. '1 lie general quality ot 1)10 yarding was good. At the opening ot the sale- the prices gievn were lirm at last week’s rates. Fat Sheep.—A fairly large entry of good quality sheep. There were not to many ewes forward as at the previous sales. The opening demand was fully 3s below last week’s prices, and there was no noticeable change until towards the end, when the values again receded from Is to is tkl below the opening rates. Store Cattle.—A yarding of 251. There was good quality in the yarding, and the "sale was a. fairly brisk one. Good prime cows averaged about £7, and mediums were from £-3 10s to £4.
Pigs.—A penning of (31 fats and 36 stores. These sold at prices fully 5s above the amounts given at the last
